Strategic Advisor | Governance Leader | Stakeholder & Public Interface Leadership
Introduction
Strategic Advisor &
Governance Leader
I am a strategic advisor and governance leader with experience working across complex public, organisational, and stakeholder environments.
My work has focused on supporting decision-making where multiple interests, priorities, and constraints must be carefully balanced — often within settings that are highly visible and subject to public accountability.
Background
Governance &
Credibility
As immediate past Chair of the Waitematā Local Board, I operated at the intersection of governance, community expectations, and organisational delivery across a $45 million annual work programme.
This role involved working closely with elected members, council-controlled organisations, iwi partners, business groups, and community stakeholders, while contributing to decisions across transport, urban environment, community, and public space portfolios.
I have experience navigating complex systems, supporting structured decision-making, and working constructively across differing perspectives.

How I Work
I bring a steady, considered approach to advisory and governance work, with a focus on enabling practical, well-informed decisions.
My experience across governance, education leadership, and organisational environments has developed my ability to understand systems, people, and context — and to contribute effectively where issues are complex and outcomes matter.
I am committed to te Tiriti o Waitangi and bring a practical and respectful understanding of how it informs decision-making in Aotearoa New Zealand.
